Best Practices

Report Generation Tips

Run weekly reports to monitor progress regularly

Use consistent date ranges for accurate comparisons

Generate reports before IEP meetings

Archive monthly reports for long-term documentation

Interpreting Data

Look for Patterns

Don't focus on single data points. Look at trends over multiple days or weeks to identify meaningful patterns.

Consider Context

Spikes in behavior might coincide with external factors (holidays, schedule changes, illness). Review notes for context.

Compare Target and Replacement

Effective interventions show target behaviors decreasing while replacement behaviors increase.

Share Findings

Use data to drive team discussions. Reports provide objective basis for intervention decisions.
