DMCA Policy

Classroom Pulse respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") Policy outlines our procedures for addressing claims of copyright infringement.

1. Designated DMCA Agent

2. Filing a DMCA Notice

To file a notice of alleged copyright infringement, you must provide:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work - A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  2. Identification of infringing material - Description of the material you claim is infringing and its location on our service
  3. Contact information - Your address, telephone number, and email address
  4. Good faith statement - A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner
  5. Accuracy statement - A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  6. Signature - Physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Important: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification that includes:

  1. Identification of removed material and its location before removal
  2. Statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number
  4. Consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

4. Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  1. Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  2. Notify the user who posted the material
  3. Consider valid counter-notifications
  4. Restore content if no court action is filed within 10-14 business days

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

Classroom Pulse maintains a policy for terminating users who are repeat infringers. Multiple valid DMCA notices may result in account termination.

6. Educational Fair Use

As an educational platform, we recognize that certain uses of copyrighted material may qualify as fair use. Users should follow their institution's copyright policies and use only the amount necessary for educational purposes.
